My love for you is
unfinished
like a pattern
waiting
to make its debut
as a beautiful piece of clothing
Sometimes it feels like
we loved each other
in days gone by
the unbreakable bond
flowed from our previous souls
into who we are now
connecting us in a way
that cannot be duplicated
or explained to the naked eye
I don’t understand these feelings
that lie dormant in my heart
only to be re-awakened again
by the sound of your voice
the touch of your hand
if only we could travel back in time
this unfinished love
would be yours and mine.

i just love your poetry little sister. I feel they are written in a way that applies to love on so many levels. Memories come roaring back of past lovers when I read your poems. Good memories.
Thanks, John. I am glad my poetry brings back good memories for you. 🙂
Nicole – you poems are so soothing – I think it’s time to publish another book!
Thanks, Laurie. I think we should write a book together!
I absolutely love this!! The flow is beautiful.
Hi Fawn,
Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving such nice feedback! 🙂
I wish I had not stopped writing poetry. I used to write them all the time from elementary school all the way up until I was 25…and then I stopped. You write so beautifully ♥
Why can’t you start writing poetry again. Remember, “the possibilities are truly endless.” Where have I seen that before? Oh, it’s on your fb page!!
