Life is not fair
people don’t always share
or want to clear the air
you get, you give
you fret, you live
no matter what you do
life goes on
and so will you!

This poem reflects the simple life lessons that took me years to truly understand. It’s a spontaneous reply to the poem and book title, “All I Really Need To Know I Learned In Kindergarten” by Robert Fulghum.
I’ve volunteered with Kindergarteners for the past three years. Now, I volunteer in a first-grade class. I’ve learned so much about how to navigate life from what I teach children: work out your own problems, talk to someone if they hurt you (go to the peace area), you can do it!, etc.
I read Robert’s simple, yet insightful poem on-line (after writing “Life”)…check it out, here: http://www.scrapbook.com/poems/doc/842/36.html
